Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026.

Who I am

This is the personal website of Rachel Andrea Go, a fractional CMO for B2B eCommerce companies. I am responsible for the personal data this site collects. The site address is https://rachelandreago.com. For anything in this policy, email rachel@rachelandreago.com.

What this site collects

Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages get read, which links get clicked, and where visitors come from. It sets first-party cookies.

Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them if you appear to be in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, judged from your IP address or your device’s time zone, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Everywhere else they run by default, and you can turn them off at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Turning them off also deletes the analytics cookies already set.

Google Analytics keeps this data for 14 months; each new visit restarts that period for the visitor concerned. Reports built from aggregated data are not affected.

While analytics cookies are off, Google Analytics may still receive basic signals that a page was viewed, including your IP address and browser type, without a cookie that recognises you on a later visit.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address and name go to Mailchimp, which sends the newsletter and the Mastering Remote Work ebook. Mailchimp records whether each email is opened and which links in it are clicked. It stores that data in the United States. You stay on the list until you unsubscribe; every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

Contact. If you email me, I receive what you send and keep it only as ordinary email.

Subscriber survey. The page you see after subscribing has an optional survey, an Airtable form. If you fill it in, your answers go to Airtable, which stores them in the United States.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes visitor IP addresses in its server logs to deliver pages and filter abusive traffic, as any host does.

Embedded content. A few pages embed material from other services. The Google Slides presentation on the Portfolio page, the Airtable form and the Giphy animation load only when you choose to load them, or straight away if you have accepted analytics cookies. The Google Doc on the Pricing page loads with the page. YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode: YouTube sees your IP address when the page loads, but sets no cookies until you play a video. When an embed loads, its service may set its own cookies and sees your IP address; its own privacy policy applies.

What this site does not do

No advertising, no ad-tracking pixels, no advertising features in Google Analytics, no sale or sharing of personal data for advertising or for anyone else’s own use, no comments system, and no accounts.

Cookies and storage

Analytics cookies only: Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_-prefixed, _gid). Your cookie choice is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie: the choice, the date you made it and the version of this policy. It never leaves your device. After 13 months, or when this policy changes, the notice asks again.

The newsletter sign-up box that slides in works the same way: if you close it or subscribe through it, local storage keeps that and the date, so the box stays away (for a year after closing it). That never leaves your device either.

Where your data goes

Google, Mailchimp, Airtable and Netlify are United States companies, so data they process for this site may be handled in the United States.

Your choices and rights

Everyone. You can accept or decline analytics in the cookie notice and change your mind any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. A Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal from your browser is treated as declining. You can email me to ask what data exists about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. That reaches Mailchimp records, analytics data tied to your browser, and my inbox, since that is all there is. Exercising a right never changes how the site treats you.

EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland. Analytics run on your consent, the newsletter on your request, and hosting logs on the legitimate interest of keeping the site running. You also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

California and other US states with privacy laws. You have the right to know what personal data is collected, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. This site does not sell or share personal data, and it honours Global Privacy Control as an opt-out.

Children

This site is written for business readers and is not directed at children.

Changes

The date at the top shows when this policy last changed. A change that affects analytics asks for your cookie choice again.
